NFL in London

Tired of discussing the Bunnymen and all the bands that have been influenced by them? This is the place for you.

NFL in London

Anyone care?

As much as I love American football I don't see it having too much appeal outside of the US and Canada.

Am I wrong?
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

When Tom Brady has any many Super Bowls as Brett Favre then you can...oh wait.

Never mind.

Didn't NFL Europe just fold?

Oh yeah but that was Europe getting a lot of second rate players who looked at it solely as a way to get back to the NFL.

I mean a real team that competes in the NFL.

To answer your question, I personally don't think they (the NFL, the owners) should expand the league to Europe, but they will if only to keep getting richer.

Right now the games are a curiousity and sell out in minutes. When they become commonplace it will be much harder to sell tickets.

Rhein Fire used to be a really big deal in Düsseldorf but the team imploded in 2007.
I know a guy who's an American football ref. in Hamburg and he says that only small league games are played here now.

Not me!

There was a Scottish team in NFL Europe for a while. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scottish_Claymores

Care? Nah. I'd rather watch football, that's soccer to you, or rugby.

American Football is just Rugby for gays.
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

You dont see Rugby players wearing all that body armour. Not even the French. What a bunch of pansies.
