Thanks! That's cool! I have to show my daughter. Pavement is/was her favorite band.
You mean he's wearing a mullet in the b+w photo?

There used to be a game show called "Scrabble", based loosely on the board game. When contestants would lose, they would get the home game as a consolation prize. But it was the home version of the game show, not the original board game.

Yeah - they filled the 90s gap between the gray lp and Evergreen for me. Would love to gaze at Mr Malkmus again..er, sorry, see Pavement live with their original mad as fuck drummer.

You can still gaze at him live, right? But I hear his band now isn't as exciting.

I've seen worse mullets!

For years I thought in the song where he screams "no big hair" that he was saying, "Korea, Korea, Korea" until my daughter pointed out that he was actually saying "career"

Never bothered to see the new band but I've read that they sometimes play entire sets of Pavement songs.

Had a look at the SM website -- the mullet's gone but he's grown a moustache.

From the Guardian piece: 'it's rare a Malkmus album passes without the use of a good homophone ("p-olice me, p-lease me"; "Korea! Career!")'.
