Rooney's going 'home' is like ditching your bird for someone fitter then going back when the fit one dumps you because you're getting a bit past it.

Why can't that defence be fixed? Do no decent defenders exist in the world? I just don't get it.

It's only soccer people.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

What do you reckon to us taking Costa 'till January when his move to Athletico can be completed BF? Surely it would do the player no harm, save Chelsea a few quid, and give us a bit more aggression up front until we can find a long-term replacement for Lukaku. I know he has his issues, but haven't we al!, he's one of those players you love to hate when he plays against you but you wouldn't mind having him on our side, bit like Suarez. Reckon he'd love the chance to show Chelsea what they're missing for the next four months in the premier league as well?

By the way, the Redmen were absolutely superb at the weekend, could do some proper damage this year?

I like to think so but each year I end up disappointed, trying to convince myself I don't care that much anymore. This final transfer day should be interesting. Now if we can just get Van Dijk and Lemar then maybe, just maybe...

I see 'the' Leeds are starting in good form. We can only assume that in keeping with tradition they bob up and down in the play-off zone most of the season and about feb or match next year will start a run of losses that'll see em in mid table at the end. That and selling their best player to someone who'll beat them in the FA cup. Mark my words.

I always had a soft spot for Leeds; I think it was the boss 70's Admiral kit that did it. Would like to see them make a comeback but they never quite get there, do they FC?
I also contributed to a 'Leeds, Leeds, Leeds' chant in the kop back in '92.

Alot of people do now they're safely locked into the second division (as it ought to be called still). Only a casual footy onlooker but seeing as they are the home side as it were - and my school was right next the Elland Road (so we could watch Billy and the boys training at break time) they'd be the one to watch, lol. Spose the last time was the O'Leary days. Someone I know is always posting 'glory days' stuff on FB and I can't help thinking, well yes OK, that'll have Jose Mourinho quaking in his boots won't it. Still.
