At half time yesterday I was checking the scores to see if we'd be in the relegation zone by the end of the day. It's going to be a long and hard season for the Blueboys. EFC facebook page asked for positives from yesterdays match, to which I replied that it was sunny and I managed to get a place to park the car. Never mind though, at least I got one of my Double Desmonds up with the Everton and Chelsea results, £45 quid.

And a tasty 2-2 for Newcastle and Southampton getting us up to a lovely £109. Please take some time this evening to pray for a similar outcome for Citeh and WBA tomorrow so I can buy some more copies of shrink=wrapped Ocean Rain.

I only noticed three "outstanding"'s and two "character" references in Brendan's post match presser today. Things are indeed looking up.

To be honest, I'll be amazed if Rodgers is still manager at Christmas. Lucky win today against a crap side. Wait till we play Arsenal, United, Chelsea, etc away.

Looking up eh, I think I'll be looking down for most of this season if saturday's performance was anything to go by.

If we're still playing like that at Christmas I'll be extremely disappointed if FSG don't kick his arse through the Shankly Gates.

Excellent win for the blues VB. Liverpool, dear me. Please Rodgers just go now. It's going to be even worse at Goodison.

Having looked through many of the LFC fan forums it seems the vast majority want him gone, even James Pearce at the Echo was sticking the boot in after yesterdays debacle. I don't thing he'll get sacked though, not unless the match going fans start staying away which is what finally finished The Owl in the end.

Fantastic result for Everton though, poor old josé.

It'll be interesting to see if Martinez starts with Naismith for a few matches now, surely he can't stick him back on the bench after that performance. Chelsea were absolutely awful, having seen City a few weeks back the Mancs really are different class this year. Seems Rodgers is keeping his job for now on the back of what he did (or what Suarez did) two seasons back, I'd still take a draw on the 4th if I was offered it now though.
