Speaking of bad writing - reading the Tolkein Trilogy for the third or fourth time in my life, Bruce Jackson truly did the author a favor cutting out so many of the over dramatic lines - especially between Gimli, the elf and the greasy haired kind.

Some of those speeches would have resulted in a cleaved skull by either a quick Orc or a bored Rohan-ian.

I'll never forget having to read "The Hobbit" over the summer going into fifth grade. I hated it then, and I hate it now. I never even finished it because it was SO FUCKING BORING, so take THAT, Mr. Williams.

I don't consider the Hobbit and the trilogy equal at all.

Ever try to read that Similarion?

Fifth grade? What advanced class were you in? We were reading James and The Giant Peach
No, wait that was fourth grade.

Ivanhoe was fifth grade.

I urge both of you to stop reading.

I attended a very elite, swanky ass private school. Our mascot was the Ralph Lauren Polo dude.
