Mystery of a Masterpiece

I just watch a NOVA about this art collector who bought what he believed was an uncredited Da Vinci for $22,000 at a gallery. The show covered several people's time and effort into proving its legitimacy or not. Evetually the owner recieved an offer for $80 million dollars and turned it down. I told Mr. Malbert that guy was out of his mind for not taking the cash, especially when its authenticity is in question. I know a book was written about it, so I might get it and learn more.
