Mojo MaGAZINE CD

Just picked this up. Yet another Smiths nostalgia issue but the cover CDs worth the price. Now whereas the CD normally brings about one or two decent songs this ones a bit different - 'Panic - 15 tracks of riotous 80s insurrection' Still a bit of a mixed bag and not sure that all of em are 80s vintage songs (Wylie's day that margaret thather dies has a date of 2011 on it though I think its been around a bit lionger than that). but just spent the best part of an hour listening to Madness, Billy Bragg, Girls at our best, felt, mekons, orange juice. Some fairly dreadful stuff too (that wylie song for example, redskins, television personalites) but generally of it really good. Standout song would be Half Man Half Biscuit, National Shite Day. Top.

Got it last week, decided to trade my hard-earned HMV points for a year's subscription and this was the first delivery. I agree on the Half Man Half Biscuit song, a classic, though I've always liked Wylie's song as well (it's been on the website for a while but this is its first proper release I think).

By the way ghostie, your childhood avatar photo is nearly as scary as Ivan's.
