The Speaker of the House, John Bercow, later ruled that Mr Adams had been appointed to the Manor of Northstead and had therefore been disqualified from parliament.

if you lived there you might be a bit cheesed off that this twat was the 'steward of the manor' suddenly. Seems the twat himself kind of agrees.

you know, now I've reread this, and taking into account cheesey's comment re posting 'interesting' stuff, i nearly had a frank moment. Who really cares, though I wonder if he's going to pay back all the expenses he's claimed whilst never actually sitting in the house.

I doubt it but now he want to be a memer of our dail (parliament) - and I wouldn't blame him as the shower of fuckers in our parliament get paid a fortune

our Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Mr Brian Cowen’ salary – soon after he became Taoiseach in 2008 – rose to €285,000 but it was reduced to €257,000 in October 2008 and then to €228,000 in January 2010.

He is also allowed an additional €118,981 in annual expenses.

The pay of senior Ministers and the Attorney General is now €181,000 . The deputy PM (Tánaiste) Mary Coughlan’s salary will be reduced , from €208,000 to €197,000.

Even with his reduced salary, Mr Cowen will still be earning more than leaders of other European countries, including British prime minister David Cameron (€172,000); Spanish prime minister José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero (€92,000) and Swedish prime minister Fredrik Reinfeldt (€138,000).

German chancellor Angela Merkel earns €242,000 per annum while the salary of French president Nicolas Sarkozy is €253,000.

what is disgusting most people in Ireland is that with our govt in a shambles there are many parliament members and ministers resigning and their pension payouts are unbeliveable.
