Blu-ray....

Tired of discussing the Bunnymen and all the bands that have been influenced by them? This is the place for you.

Whilst I've finally found how to burn perfect blu ray files, they only play on my computers blu-ray drive and not a stand-alone blu-ray player and tv. I've tried a different method and am going back to the shop to see if it works. The last time I was in there I saw a £999 new plasma (could have been Panasonic) that actually had all the dynamic range and colour of a CRT! I was told that just as LCDs had got better, though still never as good as CRT, this lastest generation plasma set was so much of an advance on the original plasmas that it has actually got to CRT standards, but in HD of course, which is even better. Mind you, what I really want is a holographic television.

I finally got the software to work and burn a Blu-Ray that works on Blu-Ray disk players rather than just computers. Still not sure if I should get the television until I get a pair of glasses-I've destroyed the old pair, and without them my eyes aren't HD even if the television is. I'm making my own test disk, but I'd really like to see both sets side by side before I can convince myself there really is a plasma TV finally as good as CRT. It's a Panasonic txp42g20 but either way, it's off to specsavers for me. Sitting two feet away from a massive widescreen tube is getting annoying.
