At least he's not scary, like the pope.

A) I think Jay Leno is getting a bad rap here (not that I find him funny) and B) if all the people bitching about the injustice to Conan (Team Coco? Jesus.) actually watched his show, we wouldn't be having this discussion.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Has the Pope even got a forum? What does his flock discuss on there? The recent incident where that looney woman knocked his holy popeness over at Christmas mass, his holy popeness whipping himself with a belt or the best track, best session musician, best lyric and what should be the next single from his recent "Alma Mater" long player?

How accurate are TV ratings anyway, or radio for that matter? I've never known a single person who has participated in the Nielsen or Arbitron ratings system.

I still think Jay could have just bowed out completely. He had his Tonight Show run. Conan is funny but I was never sure he was right for that time slot. I think he should have been given a better chance to get his ratings up if that's the system they rely on.

leno is too nice and bland. plus I saw him once on the 101 freeway in hollywood, causing a traffic jam ... he was in an antique convertible, waving at everybody, hoping to be noticed

I like craig ferguson and jimmy kimmel.

You know one person - me! I participated in the Nielsen once a couple years ago.

I did, too, in 96 or 97. It was tedious.

me three. made me not want to watch TV.

I suppose with all the DVRs and Tivos out there now, they can get more accurate readings, if they want to get all Big Brother on us. Or are they already snooping on Black Francis' viewing habits?

All the people who were assigned to BF are on medical (psychiatric) leave as of last week.
