Well, they call it the rust belt not for the closed factories anymore - but for what the salt does to cars.
It is looking more and more to be the fact the factories protect the cars with spray or else face massive recalls.
I did not protect my last car - weekly washes did the trick - did rust out the muffler -

Doesn't look like it cause a sham wow would have absorbed all that blood on their faces.
My local pharmacy has the As Seen on TV section and it's all I can do not to pick up a Sham Wow, Obama Chia Pet and Ped Egg.
