children's names

so, has anyone around here given their children either names of places or characters from books/disney cartoons? Or, as in this case, both. In answer, for myself, no. All run of the mill and quite dull when compared to your average rock star numpty. And anyway, whats wrong with it? Well there are limits beyond its clearly daft and pampers to the need to get in the papers. Though on the bright side, here in the UK when we see a headline with the word 'Peaches' we know they aren't talking about the latest EC fruit regulations. So there are advantages. But obviously its not the exclusive right of the famous to use individual names - my kids know others called Star, Electra (that might be a k), Jezebel and er, thats it. I wonder how much pressure there is, when your profession is you know, treading the boards wielding the axe, to give your kid something to hate you by. But thats an assumption I'm making, young Bronx Mowglie (perhaps its a hoax and i fell for it - yeah) might think its cool or just take the Zowie approach and call himself Dennis as soon as he learns to talk.

Chez

aka from now on Banbury Bagheera Cherry. HAs a certain ring to it dont you think?

I named my daughter Zoey and my son Ulysses. They both hate me.

I went to school with a Stardust. She was pretty hot too. But the named killed it. Kinda like this amazing chick I saw at the gas station. I was in love til she walked up to a Pinto station wagon and started filling it up.

I pushed for George Mallory S****
and Andrew Irvine S**** after the English climbers for my kids but I was forced to compromise and got Andrew and Mallory for the middle names

I'd feel bad about celebrity kids and their ridiculous names but the money will pay for all the necessary therapy and drug habits.

I need to get a more expensive car. If a guy thinks like this it can only be worse among women.

Well, actually ti is. I overheard two women saying they never date a guy that drives a car that is more than two years old.

And then the other women at this exclusive club talking to a younger women, "Forget about Tony! He is tapped out! You need a man with good earning potential that can look forward to a 45% increase in it within the next five years."

I knew a guy named Seven. His brother was named Lucky. They were both in Grateful Dead type bands. I think all their siblings had names like that. As I recall they had "normal" middle names like David or Michael.
