The Radio City Show meetup...planning ahead

General discussion about the band, live shows, its recordings or bootlegs, etc. You can buy, sell or trade here. You can even post eBay links. If it's about the Bunnymen, it goes here.

The Fashion Rocks show just aired from Radio City Music Hall. It looks
great. Mr. Brian, your seats look like the best of the bunch. I can't wait!

You should probably create a whole separate sub-forum for discussing map books.

Not sure if it's been suggested yet, but the Concierge at my hotel said
that maybe Nikki (Nikki Beach) Midtown on 50th between 5th & 6th might
work for our group. It seems casual yet hip, and Withahip, it serves sushi.

..and if we can find a place beforehand, Blackfrancis and Brian can have
their carriage ride without worrying about doing research, ha.

we're calling the carriage ride "research"
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

BF, not sure if you are asking or telling, ha, but wanted to put it out there
if anyone could confirm it to be a good place to meet. It would at least
narrow your efforts on Tuesday night.

The carriage ride? No. That will be ours and ours only.

BTW, anyone in favor of closing this thread and starting a new one now that we are a week away? A moderated who's in who's out, suggestions only type deal? I for one don't like going through 20 pages of posts. Just a thought. I'm thinking our meet up may be a bust at this rate.

Mr. Brian, yeah, close this thread, and maybe put up a quick poll of 3 places
to choose. Those that are going need to vote, and it could be decided by
the weekend so everyone knows where to go?

Are we poll ready?

What are the choices so far?
People can post alternate suggestions too I guess.

Also, I am able to check the forum and post via my blackberry when black francis and I are there Tuesday night too but are you sure you want someone from the midwest and one from LA choosing a NYC meeting place?

It would be nice to get a head count of who to expect too.

Nothing common about the duo of Mr. Brian and black francis. You're not gonna look like Woody Harrelson in the Cowboy Way are you? Cause I can borrow the cowboy get up from one of the missus' cousins. I got time for a mustache too.

Epsilon had a good point. Not sure if either of you (mr. brian and BF, i mean) have been in NY before, but I'd hate to see you guys using up one of your days in NY to find a pub for the bunnylist. Plus, it could be difficult for some people to check the list while travelling.
Let's make a new thread with a poll!
I found these pubs near RadioCity if you want to add one or all to the poll.

pig n whistle: http://www.pignwhistlets.com/
maggie's place: http://www.maggiesnyc.com
o'neills: http://www.irishpubny.com

I'm pretty sure there were multiple requests for a place that serves pub grub and cider, and I think they all fit that criteria.

When did going from bar to bar looking for the best one become work?

So which one of you is Jon Voight and which one of you is Dustin Hoffman? (Midnight Cowboy)
