The Radio City Show meetup...planning ahead

Postby octavia » Tue Aug 12, 2008 11:07 pm

Ok, guys, we now have less than two months to plan...has anyone done a reconnaissance mission yet as to where we could have it?

I *vaguely* remember a cozy "pub" close to RadioCity from when I used to work in that area...but i'd have to do a bit of research, which I always enjoy...guess that's what makes me a traveler.

anyway...anyone, ideas?

Anyone who can't find child care should bring them. We'll then draw straws to see who gets to watch them for the night. Someone needs to take one for the team here.

BF, I'll see you here

http://nymag.com/listings/bar/international_bar/

As crusty a dump as the city will legally permit to stay open, International Bar is an East Village favorite that has seen visits from Drew Barrymore, Nick Cave, and countless neighborhood drunks who scrounge together $2 for a can of domestic brew. The small backyard space is a big favorite amongst this spots many smokers who don't like stepping away from their pints when they puff. A small seating area between the bar and patio offers tables, a jukebox, and a seldom used, but fully stocked bookshelf.

No. It seems to me that the combination of financial and child-care problems calls for the most elegant solution of all: selling the children.

Voila'! All problems solved.

You're welcome.

Your plan reminds me of this Mr. Show sketc where Fairsley grocery stores were trying to point out the difference between them and their competitor.

"You can shop comfortably knowing your children will not be abducted and shipped to a Pakistani whorehouse where they'll spend the rest of their life in homo-erotic servitude. Come in with your kids, leave with your kids. That's the Fairsley difference!"

Any East Coasters know of these secret entrance bars in NY I've been hearing about?

It's no longer cool to refer to it as your "secret entrance."

JackT is correct. There are other terms to use:
pooper
hershey highway
turd cutter
poop chute
mud vein
dirt road
