Bunnymen in Starbucks

Postby JackT » Mon May 19, 2008 8:08 am

I stopped in for a Grande' brewed coffee yesterday, and, there at the counter, is Mac of all people. They had two featured CDs for sale, a Sinatra disc, and one called "Second Wave" with a very old photo of Ian McCulloch on the cover (the first track is a bunnymen song.)

The Sinatra slot was empty.

UPDATE: A quick perusal of topics on the official forum reveals that this is week-old news.

Since finding a Stax Collection of recordings at Starbuck's I have decided them selling cds is a good thing.

I read that Starbuck's was doing so poorly that they were going to just concentrate on selling coffee from now on  but I saw the CD and what's on it on the other forum and it's a brilliant Idea! Some might even say, "awesome!" It might be just what Starbuck's needs to help sales!

Saw it today, the only two discs on display at the register.
Something tells me Ian would be pleased that he was merchandised with his idol.

I like Krispy Kreme, but if I'm truly desperate ... the Vons bakery section fits the bill

So do I! They have the best coffee! I'm glad they sell it in the grocery stores here in LA because there's no other way, where I live, to get it.

It's a really good CD collection of songs though (from Starbucks)

What a shock. Someone from Boston likes Dunkin' Donuts.
