It's been 11 years since the bad reunited and played live for the first time since Ian left the band in the late 80's. Hard to believe it's been that long.

So you don't like the post-reunion Bunnymen?
There's times when I've been deeply indifferent

They could have. I remember the excitement in the air back in 1997. Mac was spouting off like it was 1983 and all seemed right in the world. I thought anything was possible back then.

Then it went crap so quickly.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Fantastic Cream comeback gig
Top 10 single
Great comeback album
Energetic tour
UK press eating out of their hands
Mac on front cover of Melody Maker with the heading "The Greatest Comeback Ever?"
then...................

Mac/manager decide it would be good to do the World Cup song with the Spice Girls.
All goodwill evaporates.Single fails.A laughing stock with press.Never properly recovered.

It was Mac's manager Togood that sent the demo to the FA,pissed off Les,pissed off Will and nearly split the band. But hey at least Mac got the front cover of WAGDWYL and Rust video to himself![/i]
