Scouser?

You guys read too much into it/

They sound good - all that matters - Mac no Dylan prophet etc - but course he loves it?

Off stage different.

Three words - tongue in cheek. There's still an immense focus.

The book may surprise - he gave a lot away in Turquoise Days.

Are the Bunnymen still the Bunnymen? More like an ageing 80s tribute act (to themselves) these days, certainly when on the road. Still, they are better than alot of other bands around.

Same here - who knows what hes like behind closed doors? who cares?

On stage its all an act - they truly think they are the best.

Dylan couldnt sing, write, had bad hair and was a hippy twat.

Great.
Now every time I hear "Lay Lady Lay", I'm gonna think of unshaven, untrimmed, patchouli-stinkin' girl parts.

New poll:
Which do you have (or prefer)?

Hippy Twat
Landing Strip
Hardwood floors

You forgot the Hitler 'stache
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

I still think along with the cure there great, but not what they were, but miles better than coldpaly and radiohead and all the othere trendy crap.

They bunnymen to me were best when they were primevil and mythical. Cyrptic and aloof. Majestic and god like.

Today they are a pleasent reminder of simpler days, long hot summers, magical mystry tours, beer, drugs and girls, sleeping on platforms, hitchicking, funnyhaicuts and long coats.

They can still hit the spot on good nights where Ican escape the pressures of being a middle age git for a couple of hours.

bands just don't have no substance today.

I agree with everything but that last line. Some bands I "run into" have considerable reserves of emotional artistic and mental substance, they have to nowadays. I'd say a lot of new bands don't have style...

As far as I can see there hasn't been a great new rock band since Elbow.
