So it look like the Bunnymen sales are only for the UK and Japan. Still, astonishingly lower than I expected. Not even a million sales for the total of all albums listed!
The Beatles of course account for many more countries. This is like comparing a grain of sand to an entire beach. Even if The Beatles aren't your thing, I think most people on Earth that listen to rock music (even some that don't) can name at least one Beatles song. Their influence is everywhere. The Bunnymen, not so much. But sales aren't everything, I always say it's not like McDonalds has the best hamburgers, but they do sell the most.
I looked at the Psychedelic Furs sales because I happen to be seeing them tonight, and they've sold more of one of their albums in the US than ALL of the Bunnymen albums combined in the UK in Japan. Amazing difference for a contemporary band. I'd still like to see the US sales for the Bunnymen thouigh, it seems like everyone I knew at least had had the Grey album or Songs To Learn And Sing
