Could be worse - you could be a Taylor Swift fan. Some sellers are asking £130 for her 7” single from yesterday.

I'm sure this will be available on line next week for face value when non-flipping stores will be allowed to sell online. I picked one up yesterday afternoon (for 32 quid) and there were still other copies left in my local. Looking on ebay some prices have dropped down to 40 quid already, the resellers have overestimated how many people want it.

I think it's had its day as a concept really. I buy music from a couple of independent record labels and the RSD releases play havoc with their pressing times. Labels who are actually promoting and pushing new, smaller, less mainstream bands, but the majors and RSD prefer to give the likes of Taylor Swift 7 inches (Oooh er missus).

There is always the option of the MP3 for £7.99 on Amazon. Only listened to Make Me Shine and In The Margins. Have the "It's Alright" CD singles with lo-fi A Promise and the remix of Rescue but not worth spending £35 + for

Now that online shop sales are allowed there are plenty on eBay for around £32-35. I picked one up in store on Wednesday for £34 which was slightly more than I was expecting to pay but a bird in the hand and all that….

In the unlikely event that anyone is still after one of these, Drift Records have it at 50% off which means it comes to £16 plus postage, which should be around £4:

Enter the code WTF50 at the checkout to get the discount.
