Thanks FC, that review pretty much sums up most of the Bunnymen gigs I've seen in recent years.

McCulloch and Sergeant didn’t speak to each other once throughout the show - after more than 40 years, the chemistry may have gone - but like an old married couple, they know each other so well, it doesn’t seem to matter anymore

Lol. However, not sure I've ever seen much, if any intra-band-between-song chinwag, banter, jovialness or acknowledgement of existence over the years. Though my mate did tell me at one Glastonbury thingy they were kind of discussing what to do next.

Apparently they're now 'in' barrowlands Hall of fame. Whatever that means. I read it on the Internet. Who else is 'in'?

So Mac's written his name, a little star and that lips squiggle he does on the wall above a urinal?

David Bowie, Ocean Colour Scene, The Charlatans, Runrig, Big Country, Simple Minds, Oasis, Stereophonics, Supergrass - you get the idea.

They've just announced the European leg of this tour has been postponed due to covid restrictions.

Which begs the question - what Covid restrictions?

It's totally illogical: They annouce the belgian date is cancelled on the very day the Government annouces the end of safety measures for cultural events (no more mandatory masks, no more Covid Safe ticket, no more limited audience). WTF ?

I just saw them at the Roundhouse the other week. The show was good but the songs are started to feel dated when they used to be timeless. Not sure why anyone isn’t mentioned Ian looks ill. Kind of wish I hadn’t gone now.

Fb comments made some good points that maybe someone in the band isn’t vaxxed or won’t do the covid tests in case they’re required by the venues. A different post said Steve Hackett is playing the same cities with his band with no problems. Maybe they just can’t be bothered anymore. Do the work from home permanently and just sign posters with lyrics.
