All was going great, setlist surprises Flowers, The Game, Stormy Weather, great to hear.
Then during Seven Seas Mac lets the crowd sing the chorus and looks a bit flustered. Thought that was unusual.
He's off to rear of stage for a drink and looks to be stretching his back. Downs a couple of pills by the look of it.
Next up BB and Ballyhoo, he's clearly not happy and it's a mess, ending badly.
He announces he'd had a massage and his back is ******g killing him, off they go "give me five mins".
Back on with NLF, which he struggles through admirably but doesn't sing the outtro.
Off they go. Minor disquiet amongst the ranks of fans, but generally a shrug of the shoulders.
Five more minutes pass then a roadie is shoved in front of the mike and blurts out "please exit the venue, it will be rescheduled".

Agreed, it was good to hear the setlist being shaken up. And Mac sounded on form until Seven Seas, the extended crowd participation set off alarm bells..

Anyway can't complain with the speedy rescheduling so we got a 45ish minute set then a full gig in April to follow, fair enough.

Whilst it is good to hear something different, it does sound a bit under rehearsed. We know what we’re getting with Mac these days so the range is not there, but the effort is. Sadly the guitar sounds a little bit off especially in the middle part, almost as if it is missing a few notes.
Would be nice to see an extra song from Porcupine. We used to get back of love and heads will roll, almost feels as if they’ve fallen out of love with that album.

You can be confident that such a decision won’t be down to Will. He’d happily play the whole thing.

Can you imagine if Mac decided to do a WAYGTDWYL tour?

Mac: this was my favourite album, after Ocean Rain, and I cannot wait to play it, in full, the way I envisioned it.

Will: it’s a bit shit isn’t it? No one really cares about that.

Better than a fountain tour though eh. Will could dial in his part from his hotel room.

I went on the actual Fountain tour, they missed out Forgotten Fields and played Silver instead. Happy fucking days!
Unfortunately they did play Do You Know Who I Am?

P.s. and yes I know I should be grateful they didn’t play Proxy.

Any nice swag on this tour? Don't buy every piece of crap like I used to but do like a little something usually.

A ruck sack would be good so that when I go to school the day after, all my mates, and the school bully, not to mention the lovely Lynn Atkinson who I'm sure fancies me but always says she has to wash her hair, will realise how flipping cool I am.
Oh no, just remembered I'm 61 and left school 40-odd on years ago. Never mind.
What's a bennie?
Also, did the person who came up with the 'magical songs' tag line think they were dealing with the bay city rollers?
