Will Birmingham be postponed?

Postby Happy Death Man » Wed Apr 11, 2018 11:17 pm

Just noticed the bunnymen's Birmingham concert on the 26th May clashes with the Champions League Final (or European cup final in my book). Now given that Liverpool are in the semis and looking pretty unstoppable, I can't imagine Mac will be happy at the prospect of having to miss the match and keep track of the score on his iPhone. Will the gig be stopped? Will Mac take a telly on stage?

Already booked the hotel to come and watch your victory parade. Really enjoyed the Premier League one a couple of years back.

"Real Madrid have never knocked Liverpool out of the European Cup or Champions League, losing all 3 of their knockout games against the Reds."

I knew you'd be cheering us on V.B. I'd do the same for Everton.

Congratulations Redmen. I wonder what that feels like......excitement? LIverpool and City have been way better than everyone else this season, fantastic to watch.

My prediction for the final is Liverpool win 3-1 (but the result will be irrelevant as they will have had their victory parade a couple of weeks beforehand  ), John Terry will lift the trophy and Harry Kane will claim two of the goals.

And this is why the Bunnymen didn't become as big as U2. Terrible for those who made travel plans but this makes me laugh. Wouldn't be the Bunnymen if they hadn't changed the date.

I'd piss myself if they lost though.

To fit the Bunnymen narrative, it's a given LFC will lose. Making daft career choices the Bunnymen way.

Got to say this disgusts me. Second time I've decided to see them in this part of the world and they've cancelled (Wolverhampton - wasn't that some post-football throat thing). I can't make Tuesday as I'm on holiday and was really looking forward to the show. The glib comment about contacting UEFA just sticks in craw. Hope they enjoy a pissed up night watching the footie as the continue to piss away the last vestige of credibility. Sorry but am narked.

You were warned. Don't agree with their choice as they have a commitment to those attending Birmingham. They should check in advance that there is no clash of interests on a particular date. I am a big LFC fan but it looks like I might have to go to an event to do with my daughter at exactly the time that the match is on. So be it, first things first.
