dimeadozen and bootleg trading

Postby Gliese 581 » Wed Feb 27, 2008 7:25 am

Any folks here use www.dimeadozen.org ?

If so..great. If not it's an excellent resource for sourcing and trading of bootlegs. There's a dozen or so Bunnymen boots up there at the mo. If any forumites are interested and need some techie help with getting into the strange world of torrents just shout and I'll post here how to set it up.

I have an account. They seem hard to get. You have to do it late at night when there are less that 100 people connected I think. I always welcome new torrents or any bootleg downloads.

There's a limit on accounts (100k I think) but they do a "purge" every night and get rid of inactive ones. There's a wealth of stuff on there, dvd and audio, and a good amount of Bunnymen and related bands as well. Anyone here a committed Bunnymen bootleg collector?

Yes there have been a few threads started here. You might want to look through these:

Personally I'd rather see torrents than all those RapidShare type things where they place all those limits. Yeah yeah I know it's free music and all but there are easier ways to distribute these things.

I'm down for the demo versions of The Killing Moon, Clay, Porcupine, Heads Will Roll and what's the story behind Antelope?
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

It was a b-side for Evergreen's Nothing Lasts Forever single. It only appears on one of the NLF CD singles that were released.

It is also an herbivorous hoofed mammal.

Funny, that'll be the NME one-liner on the upcoming album
