If what KOK says is true, I'd leave after the Bunnymen's last song. I never liked the Stones.

Still here. The satellite shooting's been postponed.

Can't they shoot that thing down over Arkansas or something?

One thing has been puzzling me. Why would a band that is so tight-lipped about information to the point they make the CIA look like Chatty Cathies, tell some random guy that they're going to open for the Stones? And that the album won't be released until after RAH.

And then he told some other guy and then he told some other guy and then it gets posted on this website. It sounds like either it's totally false and a poor attempt at humor/attention, or they're trying to expose someone as an information leak.

I think you should post this on the official website, king of kings. It would be interesting to see what kind of response you get.

bunnymen fans like the stones, that's not the issue. its more people that like the stones are my parents' age or older and didn't like "the 80s" the first time they came around... and think the bunnymen are an 80s band, if they've even heard of them....

i saw the stones back in 1989 and living colour opened up for them. it was a great show.

You're probably right. I'd have to go back and watch the interview again, but I couldn't be bothered.

Maybe someday they'll tell us who the producer is.....

maybe this was leaked intentionally, to see what kind of response the news would have among fans.

yes, I'm all about conspiracy theories

I like the Stones, but I wouldn't pay what they're asking to see them these days. I saw them in 1981 in the Cotton Bowl, and it was a quite disappointing show, altho B.B. King was a great warmup.

It just seems an odd marriage. Bunnymen + Stones. that's all.

Now, I wouldn't mind seeing the Bunnymen and the Mary Chain on the same bill

I actually really had that dream once! I was in Scotland somewhere (never was there in reality) ran into Roddy Frame  and he gave me directions to this old stone bldg. where they were playing. He wasn't (playing) :frown:

I tried to change my avatar the other day to a photo of him but it said it couldn't be done, it was too big. I didn't remove my angry Pomeranian to appease Scouser

"Over Your Shoulder"!! Great song!
