For a minute there I thought it was Bingley Hall in Staffordshire, I remember seeing The Who, AC/DC and Styx there many moons ago when I was a callow youth.

And another northern town, albeit with a castle (unless its a pub),

Can't even see the sign to Clitheroe without thinking of jimmy (only uk dudes of a certain age will get that).

The castle in Clitheroe is a castle (albeit a tiny one). Pleasant market town in the shadow of Pendle Hill although a bloke I used to work with once got beaten up there on a night out (in Clitheroe? A night out in Clitheroe??) because he came from Manchester, lol.

Wasn't Jimmy Clitheroe the Wee Jimmy Kranky of his day, although without the reverse cross dressing?

He was, though quite old I seem to remember. At the time I didn't think it odd at all. Currently living near Settle and was having a quiet pint listening to a couple of local youth chatting. One was going on about not liking going out in Leeds because They're a sort they are aren't they '

Are there two differences? One has a clock and a co**, the other doesn't?
