The Bunnymen are supporting James at Quex Park, 28th July. It's just down the road from my hometown, a really lovely venue.

Is that the James of "Laid" you're talking about? I love them!

I remember those days well. The Bunnymen living the high life, wining and dining with Tony Blair at No 10, mixing with Damon Albarn, Jarvis Cocker, Justine Frischmann and Sonya Madan. That's probably why Liam Gallagher just had to demand to sing on Nothing Lasts Forever, although I heard it was that bloke out of Menswear that was going to do the backing vocals originally.

Liam is the very reason I hated Oasis (and still do). Can't stand him.

I think Liam's the reason I liked EATB when I saw them. I realised I missed the rambly, northern type of personae. I used to be a huge Oasis fan.

I am fairly sure that the extent of Liam's backing vocal was just the "yeah yeah yeaaahh" part right before the chorus.

I'm convinced there was some 'la la la' as well, no?

And mighty catchy it was too. Bunnymen were a bit of the Oasis bandwagon jumping though weren't they? Polly and I Want to Be There spring to mind. Mac even morphed into Liam eventually.

Yeah, the Manc swagger when he walks onstage is pure Liam, he should be ashamed of himself!

Pity Kevin and Perry haven't got scouse accents. It could be Will and Mac meeting up discussing the planned recording of Flowers, or maybe the first meeting to discuss the formation of Electrafixion. Kevin even has Will's hairstyle at the time.

only time i saw em (reading sometime) Liam stalking the stage was definitely the one who had your attention, even from the back of a field. worst bit was the singalongaoasis crowd, couldn't hear the band half the time.

That sketch is one of enfield's better attempts, compared to say the scousers sketch which is a bit more sterotypical eh eh eh come 'ead etc. - and this one even touches on the 'shagging your mates mom scenario' we mentioned earlier.
