He saw that Joaquin Phoenix movie, "I'm Still Here"
(that'd be a great album title, by the way)

I saw that movie: it was sad, hilarious, and disturbing. But I really did not need to see him naked.

Van Halen's back on tour!! Since I got screwed when Mac pulled out of the solo US tour, stiffing me for airfare and a hotel in Chicago, and there's no chance the Bunnymen will do a May tour as in years past, I'm following Van Halen around this summer. They Really Got Me!!

I saw Van Halen in Louisville 2 weeks ago. Everyone should do themselves a favor and try to catch a show on this tour. They're bringing it. The new album is excellent and Alex still looks very similiar.

It only took them 40 years or so to "get you"...
I long for the pork of Porcupine. (A slide show dedicated mostly to Will right here.... http://www.examiner.com/rock-music-in-l ... -here-tour)

I only like one Van Halen song, and it's "Poundcake" with Sammy at vocals. When I look at DLR I feel like I need to bathe in hand sanitizer after.

I'm not down with the Van Hagar.

Me neither. VH's debut album is on my shortlist of albums I can listen to start to finish without skipping a track

Same here. It's gotta be on anyone's list of great debut albums. Here's my vote for best track on Van Halen:

It is very cool to see that there are other people besides me that love VH and also the Bunnymen. I grew up loving both these bands. A lot of my friends pretty much stayed with one "genre" or whatever.

They didn't really get how I could be into Black Sabbath and Duran Duran at the same time or Social Distortion and James Taylor. Anyway, check out the new VH album "A Different Kind of Truth". It has that killer old school Van Halen sound. F'ing rocks!!

Van Halen was my first concert. Fair Warning Tour. I also love Sabbath and a lot of Duran Duran stuff. The only time I got to see Sabbath was on the Mob Rules Tour with Dio. I never saw Duran Duran.
