I've always heard that Warners owns their back catalog. Like many bands, they owe a lot of money to the label.

Makes me not feel bad for major record label's current plight. I mean the Bunnymen did sign the contracts but the labels screwed many artists we grew up loving with their bullshit accounting. Same with Hollywood. Dave Prowse (Darth Vader) has not made any residuals off of Return of the Jedi cause Lucasfilms claims it has not made any money yet.
