Mac: The Solo Tour

Postby girlwithnoname » Thu Dec 15, 2011 2:42 pm

So... it appears that some dates have been set for solo Mac to perform, including a gig at Bimbo's 365 in SF (my neck of the woods) in March. Hmm. I wonder if I should go?

EDIT: I just read more. There's a two-drink minimum. Considering the ticket is $25, that's not bad.

or as it's now known "Ian McCulloch and his hired hands from the Bunnymen, who tonight are not Bunnymen, though they always will be in spirit, playing some songs by the Bunnymen, without the main man"

After the Glasgow debacle, I'm hoping two drinks is Mac's MAXIMUM.

Two nights in Chicago at Schubas! Croc HuH tour show in Chi was epic, but besides that the past few buns shows were a little stale. I'm really looking forward to this!

I would consider seeing Mac solo in San Francisco if there's no LA dates. I saw him in 2003 for Slideling and that was my first religious experience.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

There is a pizza shop down the street. I wonder if I could get them to book him.
