Live version of 'Clay'?

Postby Sarah22 » Fri Apr 15, 2011 7:33 am

Does anyone have a live version of Clay they'd be willing to share? I absolutely ADORE that song but haven't ever heard it performed live. Many thanks in advance!

Maybe if they can be prodded into doing Porcupine as they have the other classics, you might stand a chance.

I think it has never been played live, if I remember well

Maybe once or twice, max during the 83 tour
To the logical limit

I think you are correct. It's listed here early on but seems to go missing after a couple of shows.

I've seen it live at the Highland Concerts in 1982, am sure there is a bootleg out there somewhere with it on, I've seen bootlegs od the Aviemore, Tain and Dunfermline show's...

If my memory serves me correct it sounded quite different from the recorded version, but again it was nearly 30 years ago so I could be wrong.....

I have a version from the show at Dunfermline Glen Pavilion in 1982... I'm not sure I can upload it, but might be able to send an MP3 if you PM me...

The sound quality isn't particularly good, and I don't think the live version lives up to the recorded track....
