Manics have just confirmed that they are to appear on Strictly Coming Dancing this weekend with the new single "Some Kind Of Nothingness" which obviously features Mac.....

Wonder if he'll turn up to perform....lol

I thought the same. Was about to shout stuff about scrapping the barrel and all that. If he does appear, good for him, popular show even if it is not my cup of tea. It's what the kids and old ladies want.

As an avid Patsy Kensit (and every other 1980's blonde has-been) watcher, don't the guests perform on the Sunday night results show? Maybe the panel will judge the performance.

Do they mime on "Celebrity ballroom dancing get me out of here"? The Manic Street Preachers official news of today says that James Dean Bradfield has cancelled two radio shows this week as he has laryngitis.

Maybe Brucie could step in to sing. "Na na na na na na na na na na nice to see you Mr McCulloch... nice. This single, how do you think it will chart? Higher or lower? Good song, good song. All right my loves, didn't he do well."

I had been hoping he'd get the opportunity to utter the immortal words, "you get nothing for a pair, not in this game" in response to a Ms Kensit wardrobe malfunction but alas it was sadly not to be.

But there is a strong correlation between shit food and the Manic Street Preachers. Welsh rarebit is a bit shit unless you choose a good quality cheese to go on it. Same as a Manic Street Preachers song is a bit shit unless you put Anna Friel in the video.

Saw that... Lovejoy and Louise Redknapp - they seemed to know who Mac is or were doing that usual presenter thing of pretending to when they hadn't a clue. Perhaps Simon Rimmer the chef filled them in, he is a scouser after all. She might I suppose as Jamie played for Liverpool.

So Mac is, in fact, a quality cheese sprinkled on top of the Manics' stale bread?

That Lovejoy's changed since his antique selling days as well. And that Redknapp bird (bet she hopes her husband doesn't end up looking like his old fella') isn't in the same league as Tink, his original sidekick.

Even Mac couldn't save them this time. He's more of a mature cheddar I think. Some might even say a dairylea triangle well past its sell-by date.

Lovejoy should go back to selling antiques in my opinion. He appeared to know more about that than he does about football, which seems to start at Chelsea and end at Chelsea. Louise Redknapp, she must visit the fountrain of youth. She still looks like she's still in her twenties at 36.
