Albert Hall..... Sold Out !!!

Postby Grumpy_Jimbo » Mon Dec 10, 2007 8:37 am

My mates tried to buy tickets today for next years gig online from various agencies and Albert Hall... After no success they called the Box Office to to told that the concert is a complete sell out... To be honest am surprised that it sold out that quickly !!!!

Now do they take a risk and add a 2nd night.... Only time will tell....

Probably not such great news for your mates, but sounds good for the Bunnymen. Personally, I was a bit worried that they wouldn't fill the place despite that Ocean Rain is being played, given that generally the Bunnymen don't sell as many records these days and even the gigs don't sell out. Looks like the stalls sold out within a day followed by the rest afterwards. Looking at e-bay now someone is already selling a front-standing ticket for £99.00! Wonder if further tics will appear over the coming months.

But I hope the band just leave it to one night only. It should be an event, not to be missed and never to be repeated.

For once they have had a big advertising push - Ive seen it advertised in loads of papers, magazines etc

Take heed Warners!
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

Thing is the vast majority of people don't even realise they are still around, maybe with Warners behind them things might change.

I hope the seats were bought by real people, not radio stations and corporations that will just use the tickets in some sort of promotional giveaway. When that happens the ones who win the tickets aren't really interested in being at the show.

Also, some more tickets (but not a whole lot) will probably be released by RAH right before the show when they figure out the final stage configuration.

What's your problem? These cheap shots are not necessary.

It's real easy to bash someone who can't or won't fight back.

Grow up.

Oops, sorry. Mac the Mouth would never take pot shots at anyone, your're right.

Veteran rocker IAN MCCULLOCH has slammed British band EDITORS for copying his singing style. The Echo + The Bunnymen frontman, 49, is not impressed when friends comment on the similarity in his and Editor's singer Tom Smith's voices - and insists no one can emulate his vocals. He says, "It cheeses me off when my mates say he (Smith) sounds like me. Don't say he sounds like me when my voice is one of the wonders of the world. "I've heard all this stuff rolling around the airwaves but it just doesn't stack up."

Mac had no comment as to why he chained smoke and scarred his voice when thousands of adoring fans were willing to shell out big bucks to see him perform.

And when was this?

Mr. WAH, the difference between what you jot down in haste and any stupid thing Ian might say, is that you take the shot because you think you're being funny. You're not. You come across as being very young and immature.

And if you aren't trying to be funny, then you must really despise the man. In that case, I suggest you seek your bliss somewhere else.

Well, it's either masturbating, or it's a Ralph Kramden "to the moon Alice" move.

I don't know what this smiley is doing, but I had to use it: Image

I find withahip's comment quite witty and not at all immature.....especially when compared to Mac's own attempt at humour:

Ian looked into the crowd and saw a big girl and sang"Lips Like Sugar! Hips Like a Hippo!" http://forum.villiersterrace.com/viewtopic.php?t=273&start=45
