He's 84th......

In his prime he would have been in the top 10 easily.......

But Liam at No 1 is laughable.......

Given that Oasis are more of my generation of band, I totally agree that it is laughable. I'd put Jarvis Cocker higher (although certainly not no.1). Is this the readers choice or that of the whippersnapper Q journos? Which probably explains why. If I recall, didn't Q magazine do a readers' survey in 2006 that voted Oasis' Live Forever as the Greatest Song out of 100 choices? O...k...aaa...y.

funnily enough I've just been watching a youtube thingy of some Smiths telly documentary which mentioned the NME voting them the best band ever.... or something and John Peel saying, well thats how you sell newspapers. They ought to rename Q magazine, 'Lists' magazine since thats about all they have these days. Easy way to fill pages and get talked about on the radio (radio 5, gabby logan to be precise).

Funny you mention Gabby Logan. She read out an e-mail on 5 Live I sent under the pseudonym "Steve" the other day. I moaned about that Claudia Wincklepuss woman getting the Film 2010 gig.

Monkey Man Ian Brown. Even he's better than Liam Gallagher and I don't like monkeys.

Mac at 84 is a joke. Where'd Dave Gahan place?
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Yes, that's ALL they ever do nowadays in Q mag; endless lists that no one cares about. You read them once and forget all about them. That's not what a proper music mag should do.
Actually, I don't even read Q anymore.
