On the March 23rd, 1980 I saw Echo and the Bunnymen play at the Lyceum Ballroon @ London, with the Psychedelic Furs and The Teardrop Explodes.

The set list was

Going Up
Do It Clean
Read It in Books
Pride
Rescue
Monkeys
Villiers Terrace
The Pictures on My Wall
All That Jazz
Happy Death Men
Crocodiles

Oh Great Days

On March 23rd, 1980 I was in my last year in primary school. I only hang around here listening to you fellas because it makes me feel young.

Was it your first Bunnymen gig?

i was preparing to leave my teens but apart from that haven't a clue what I was doing. Depends when easter was that year, may have been in london where I was a stewdent, making a tit of myself falling for a girl way out of my league (her premiership to my vauxhall conference, but you know, aim high and all that) or at home wishing I was back in london chasing said piece of skirt (obviously in the 80s I learnt that referring to the ladees in such terms was not the done thing, only to be told in the 90s, courtesy of the gallagher bros it was indeed the correct way to address them, go figure) or down the local drinking tetley's mild telling my mates how much better everything was in london and thus endearing myself to them for ever. Who knows.

Chez.

I think I was watching Battlestar Galactica.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

I was nine and hung like a black stallion.
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

I was 14. Probably watching M*A*S*H* or Barney Miller with my parents.

That's still a daily discovery for me.
