Echo & the Bunnymen - 1983-03-03 - Clermont

I've transferred a tape of this gig onto Megaupload. See links at bottom

Description: A tape I got over 20 years ago from Fred, a 'Tape distributer' in Dublin.
Sound for the gig is pretty good. Sound for the interview at the end is listenable.
Not a classic gig by any means, but worth a listen. Macs not happy about 'the stairs'
which seems to be a barrier between the punters and the band.
I just copied each side of the tape to an audio cdrw in my stereo as one track.
Then transferred to PC and used Cool Edit 2.1 to seperate out the tracks.
Used tag&rename to put tags in files.
I didn't really do any audio correcting on it, but with the interview,
I re-recorded it on my Sony RCD-W3, at higher levels, to try and boost the low sound.
There is probably better quality versions of this gig available, but I haven't seen
his gig available on the WWW, so that's why I'm posting it.
(It's listed on Steve Doughtys webpage http://homepage.ntlworld.com/stevedoughty/1983.html)

Sony BHF Normal tape -> Sony RCD-W3 Compact Disk Recorder -> WAV -> Cool Edit Pro 2.1

Nowadays they need a barrier to stop the crowd getting out.

With a couple of obvious exceptions that's pretty much the setlist they're still peddling today, 27 years later!
And you know that I'll pick up
Every time you call
Just to thank you one more time

Thank you. I heart bootleggers hardcore right now. It makes me feel a little better about basically having missed out on them because I was too young.
I long for the pork of Porcupine. (A slide show dedicated mostly to Will right here.... http://www.examiner.com/rock-music-in-l ... -here-tour)
