Nice for purists...I really enjoyed the reissues with the extra stuff. 3rd copy of Ocean Rain for me, LOL.

That pic of them is awesome. They really were the coolest thing since sliced bread... Oh how I miss what they were...but I think we all do--forgive me for speaking for "all".

Another limited edition ~ ahhhhhhh!! They missed a trick when the remastered albums came out a few years back, Warners/Rhino should have shoved those into a boxed set and then several years later released them individually just to piss off fans who'd shelled out for the box set. Alternatively, later give them away free with a newspaper or re-release them later as the 35th Anniversary Ltd Special Once Only You Fool Edition.

Had there not already been a cover for the boxed set, I would have once again come in on here with my own design with a cheeky slogan written across it.

Replace the grey album with Reverberation and I'll buy it.

Reverberation hasn't been remastered yet has it. It really should be included.

I doubt that will ever happen. They didn't even include a song off that album on Crystal days did they?

I can't see buying this. I already have two versions of these albums on CD. This is what I thought they should have done for the 25th anniversary re-masters....sell a real box set bundle with a bonus disc or two, and then sell them individually later.

With the remasters out a few years ago, Warner probably found themselves stuck with shitloads of the originals discs that weren't even moving in the bargain bins - solution: recall all discs and package together for the dumbass complete-ists that need every version of every release (which has apparently worked - this is now sold out on amazon).

I think this will make the 3rd and 4th release of some of these on CD.

Ocean Rain and the Grey album were originally issued on CD.
All of the them were all reissued on CD in 1990.
The remasters came along in 2003.
Now this box set.

Think you've hit the nail on the head, easiest way to shift unsold original cd's....

I'll not be buying ..........................
