Is The Puppet being airbrushed out of Bunnymen history?

General discussion about the band, live shows, its recordings or bootlegs, etc. You can buy, sell or trade here. You can even post eBay links. If it's about the Bunnymen, it goes here.

That could start a completely new thread inventing new names for classic songs that the Bunnymen won't play.

I don't know... Nocturnal Me could be renamed Not likely Mate.
Just A Touch Away becomes Just Swept Away (From the Setlist)
I Want to Be There (When You Come) becomes I Want to Be There (Should This Song Ever Be Done Live Again)...

I could go on, but I won't.

They're doing a bang up job with song titles on their own lately. "Think I Need It Too"? (admittedly it sounded okay on YouTube), might as well be "I'll Have What He's Having"

I always liked that song EXCEPT for the corny organ /keyboard-like Doors music in it.

I thought the problem with the song was that Mac hated it?

The Puppet was the first song to get me into Echo and The Bunnymen. The local college station played it live and I recorded it. I kept playing it over and over. Went out and bought my first album - HUH - after that. I was 13.

"A Promise" could be "Ouch, I've Just Been Bitten By A Penguin."

Am I doing it right?

A kite is a contract of glory
that must be made with the sun,
so you make friends with the field
the river and the wind,
then you pray the whole cold night before,
under the travelling cordless moon,
to make you worthy and lyric and pure.

You got a cold coming on Dr Cheese?

Yep, Nocturnal Me will be played next year, but it hasn't so far, so it counted.
