Most overrated Bunnymen song?

Postby happy_loss » Thu Nov 29, 2007 3:29 am

Despite the Bunnies occupying one of the top two rungs of my all time fave bands (Joy Division being the other), there are still a few songs that everyone loves that I can't stand. The one that comes to mind first though has to be "Lips like sugar" ! I couldn't stand that damn song from first hearing it close to 20 years ago, still can't stand it. It's slightly better live (at least the versions I've heard w/Pete), but the studio version strikes me as an overproduced piece of light weight pop fluff compared to the rest of their treasure trove. Now that I've probably upset many people, let's hear your choices..........

Talking about how overrated things are is overrated.

How could a bunnymen song be overrated? How many people even KNOW one?

Nothing Lasts Forever - why they insist on playing it as an encore beats me.
