I think Ian should keep his hair fashionably close to the head nowadays. I always thought he looked better with shorter hair and the emo comb over isn't doing him any favors.

I'm not judging cause everytime I get my hair cut, the lady (who doesn't speak English) attempts to do the same with me. Ian just needs to do what the rest of us middle aged, balding males do and go to his barber and ask for the "Dave Matthews"*

*The "Dave Matthews" was first brought to my attention by JackT when we were discussing our own follicle challenges.

Perhaps he could go for a number one all over. What about a nice wig? Hair transplants are quite popular - he can just ask his mate Chris Martin to give him the lowdown on that. Personally, I think he should just keep it as it is at the moment. He should also start wearing the 80s-style sunglasses again as they seem to be fashionable (Glasvegas, etc).

Hair transplants cost money-is Mac rich enough for one? He should give fans an auction on deciding the set-list to pay for a hair transplant-and laser treatment for his eyes.
I used to take the piss out of Mac for wearing glasses, but years of self abuse in front of my computer have made me nearly as short sighted, so I'm saving up for laser treatment. Fortunately both my parents had extremely good heads of hair well into old age, but even I get paranoid from time to time. A big Phil Mitchell type man looks fine bald, but more delicate types (Michael Jackson, Paul Daniels, Jasper Carrot, Prince Edward) look awful, and so would Mac. Perhaps we could have a whip round to restore his hair/eyes. Then maybe a voice transplant...
Wasn't his dad TOTALLY bald in the end? Perhaps hair cloning would do the job?
Perhaps he could buy Gary Glitter's used wig.

Actually it is a genetic fact that hair grows thicker the more famous you become.

And thinner as fame decreases.

I personally would go for the David Bowie plugs. Why even try to be discreet.
