When will the Bunnymen be on RockBand2?

Postby Mr. Brian » Sat Jun 06, 2009 9:54 am

So I finally fire up RockBand2 for the first time in months and much to my delight I see the Psychedelic Furs "Pretty In Pink" available for download.

Oasis has been on there, Sonic Youth, Duran Duran, The Clash, New Pornographers, Pixies (the entire Doolittle album), Glasvegas, etc.

During all the hype around Ocean Rain, that would have been the perfect time to put out Killing Moon on RockBand2 at least. It probably would have been a better endeavor than yet another limited edition Ocean Rain album. Even the Beatles who have shunned all things digital so far have their own entire game coming out in the fall. As I understand it, Aerosmith made more money off Guitar Hero than any single album they have released and helped generate new album sales. Of course the Bunnymen are not as big as the Beatles or Aerosmith but it does seem like a win/win situation for all parties at any level.

I don't know what the process is for doing something like this or if it's all in the hands of Warner or if the band has much say or whatever, but it seems like this is beneficial to the band for exposure and for money...will they ever get with the program?

Your asking that question in 2009? Heh.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Why not? Doolittle came out 20 years ago. Pretty In Pink came out 28 years ago. They are cited as influences by current bands, etc. I think Killing Moon or Lips Like Sugar would do well on RockBand2.

Or do you mean my comment about "getting with the program"?

How did you bastards get that picture, I thought I had it locked away!

Anyway it's a fact that Guitar Hero helps you meet chicks.
