Live at the Arena, Rotterdam, Holland, March 18, 1983

I must thank Frank the Über Fan for the many links to great sounding bootleg recordings offered on this site, many of which I did not have. Thank you, thank you, and thank you. Shortly after I became hooked on the EATB sound (very recent) I began scouring the web in search of recordings to fuel the flame that burned inside me. I came across a Rapidshare link for their March 18, 1983 in Rotterdam:

Rotterdam, Holland, March 18, 1983 Part 1

Great sounding recording. The only problem is that it is for only the first half of the show: All My Colours, All That Jazz, Crocodiles, Do It Clean, and Heaven Up Here.

It seems a shame that I’m not able to find the other half no matter how hard I search, especially considering the band was in their prime when they were playing in Holland.

Is there anyone out there that is generous enough to share the other half of the show? I will be greatly indebted to that individual.

Thanks.

I get that same feeling when I urinate.

I'm definitely down with the Halen. (Just the DLR Halen, though. No Van Hagar for me.)

Get out! You dig DVR HALEN? Van Halen is one of the few guitar bands where the solos are as relevant as the vocals.

Ted Templeton the producer can be thanked for that. After Dave got sacked, Eddie sacked Producer Ted whining that he made him practice too much.

It all went downhill from there.

They had one of the most impressive debut albums ever, IMHO. "Aint talkin bout love" is brilliant. There's a track on Fair Warning called Mean Street which I also love.

I always liked McKenzie Phillips more than Valerie Bertinelli myself

Jack I was just out of college and I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life. I was just a confused heterosexual.

You guys are a hoot! I love reading your replies to this thread and others, no mater how irreverant they may be . Although the elusive second half of the show has yet to be found, at least I gave you something to joke about while you wait for a tidbit from Ian and Will. As a last resort, I'll tank up on tequila and listen to the first half twice, not knowing the difference and enjoying it just as much as the full show.

Post'em if ya got'em!

I, for one, was NOT joking about Diamond Dave era Van Halen.

Van Halen was the first concert I ever saw. It was the Fair Warning Tour in 1981 and DLR wore his ass-less chaps and drank from a Jack Daniels bottle all night. I seem to recall him forgetting the words at some point in every song with the statement "I forgot the fuckin' words!". It was a great show, I am not kidding.

Self-titled album is one of maybe 15 albums ever that I can listen to start to finish, without skipping a song.
