Review of Echo Arena Show

Link here

In the article there is a link to the Liverpool Echo's 30th Anniversary Tribute to the band

Did anyone here go to the show or know a setlist. I saw on the Seven Seas list that they did Rust.

I went. Haven't got a setlist but it was roughly same as RAH for the first set. They did do 'Rust' which I was suprised at.

How'd that go over? I seem to remember that song being a little rough on the WAYGTDWYQWERTY tour.

I'll keep my eyes on Dimeadozen for the show. I'm very curious to know what Rust sounded like actually.

Rust is a pretty amazing song except for the chorus then it goes pure schmaltz. But the rest of the song is genius. Lyrics (again exceptt he chorus) are beautiful.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

'Rust' sounded err...a bit rusty actually - like they hadn't played it for a while!

First things first-blimey Liverpool has had some dough put into it.A posh Pumphouse and John Lewis opposite!

Whilst the Royal Albert had more majesty, this was a better performance with crystal clear sound,Mac and Will on electrifying form and of course a mega Thorn Of Crowns. The best band in the world deliver a huge sound sound into the cavernous Arena and still make it sound intimate.Awesome stuff.Only one question-why is the ratio of toilets to punters 2 to 5000.The mens was bad but I felt sorry for the women.Glasvegas?Jury out.

A top night and a really friendly vibe in Liverpool from all the people I drunkenly sounded off to in my thick wolvo tones. Will being one in Korova-deffo Paris for OR,no new album until OR gigs are over and no Electrafixion songs because Mac wont play them. You cant have everything I suppose.

Scouser said if Mac so much as batted an eye in your direction we could expect a rave review. I'm not convinced yet.

The Echo Arena has quite good sound for a big shed, I agree the toilet provision is woeful. Great waterfront views though, especially in summer...
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.
