Well, seeing that "It's Alright" is a steaming pile of dog turd, your band may be able to improve upon it.

Maybe you should try "Fish Hook Girl". Love that track.

Yeah that is a gem, best b-side since the band reunited, no contest.

Try turning on your sarcasm meter.

Cut DJM some slack folks.
Cover bands cover the hits. People who go see cover bands want to know every song they here. If they didn't, they would go see an original band.

I don't know if Crystal Days, Hurracaine or It's Alright qualify as hits and I thought DJM's band did original stuff too?

So no Bunnymen at all then?

I think Rust hit #87 on the adult contemporary charts.

These are wise things you say. People that know the Bunnymen name generally could care less about Fish Hook Girl or My White Devil. They want Dancing Horses, Lips, Killing Moon, basically the "festival" setlist that the Bunnymen do except for maybe one or two odd ones.

I booked a club once and this guy wanted to do a one-off Cheap Trick tribute show. That sounded good to me but he pretty much skipped all the fluffy hits and went for the hardcore fans "better' songs. I'd say half the crowd was gone about halfway through the set. They sounded and looked great, but they didn't play Surrender or Dream Police or I want You To Want Me or whatever.

Go see an original band in your town. Chances are the place will be empty. Regardless of whether they are good or bad.

It used to be you had to go see a show to find out about a band. Now, just check out youtube.

And if your original band doesn't sound like the recording, any following you have will probably leave disgusted. This is why most bands have at least half their tracks pre recorded. Whether it be Shiny Toy Guns or Interpol.

Rust made it to #22 on the UK Top 100, which was a better placing than any single off the Grey Album and practically the same as Dancing Horses (#21)
