Some of the comments have been totally unfair and please tell me how you can write your opinion of a gig, then change your mind about it a few days later??? If that's not jumping on the bandwagon, I don't know what is!!

Froggy, am with you on the songs. It's like The Fountain revisited for me and pretty much the same as how you mentioned it. Was surprised that they could pull them off ok live. I was counting the seconds until Constantinople was over. Dreadful.

I had not seen the band for a year and a half, got the one decent show a week or so ago and was pretty excited at first. I wrote my review with a bit of excitement however it was not their best gig ever. Maybe 'flawless' but flawless means no Mac breakdowns, no shouting at fans and the whole show went on as planned.
The hope and determination of the bunnygirlxx comments are cute but they're a bit over exaggerated.

VB, I thought they said the download comes with the album from Pledge but it's not over yet. Could that be why you haven't gotten it? Not buying any of it. Still not right that people who buy on amazon can get it earlier than the pledgers who signed up months ago...

Over exaggerated in your opinion! But that seems to be the only one that matters?! Either that or you haven't read the Leamington or Antwerp threads, because according to those you didn't get the 'only good show'!!!

Whatever.........

Didn't over exaggerate by that much really. Yes that is the only one that matters to me because that is the one I went to and can speak of. There was no reason for me to leave the great city of Paris...not even for the Bunnymen...not even with a personal invite to go to Antwerp or LS for that reason, so No, my life doesn't revolve around shows or reviews. I appreciate your rah-rah pom poms out for the band but I don't do that. Different stokes.

Anytime, Froggy. I think some misread or misquoted your post(s) but it is ok to have a different opinion of the album. Still agree with you on it but best of luck to them on whatever they can manage to get out of it. Will listen to the other stuff, no prob.

Meteorites will be radio 6 music's album of the day on Tuesday....

Constantinople is one of my favourites on the album along with Meteorites, Burn it Down and Grapes.... I think this album is a
grower....
Even god has to soundcheck sometimes

Razors pain you;
Rivers are damp;
Acids stain you;
And drugs cause cramp.
Guns aren’t lawful;
Nooses give;
Gas smells awful;
You might as well live.

Pom poms, naughty steps, personal invitations and sniffing underpants. This is turning into my favorite thread ever.

If only Dr Cheese's commode had been on this one, there'd be no bettering it.

Here you go, essential equipment for gig-goers of a certain age.

Could be useful, I hate going to the toilet or holding it in during gigs. I actually wanted to go on myself during Nothing Lasts Forever once, but my bladder was smarter than me.
