All I know is I had one Strongbow can last week (after a few other *weak* beers) and I somehow ended up with phots of me on the ground on Hollywood Blvd. If you are looking for a serious buzz, Newcastle has NOTHING on Strongbow.

If the seriousness of the buzz is your criteria for a good drink I think you'll find White Lightening is the jakeys tipple of choice.

Here's a couple of websites of places I've been to when I saw Eddie Izzard & a few gigs in the city. I know they look strange but, that's me...strange. Just making some suggestions. Have a blast together & post photos. (Pete & me are going w/ a few friends to this gig).

Broome St. Bar... Relaxed, friendly neighborhood bar. Typical Bar food available. 363 Broadway, Midtown South (at Broome St.).

http://maps.google.com/maps?oi=map&q=71 ... e.%2010017 (Blarney's Pub, there's several locations)

Fitzgerald's Pub; 336 Third Ave., Midtown South (Betw. 24th & 25th Sts.).

That's just some I've been to....I just can't remember the others but, good luck as I've stated, everyone in making your plans! I hope you all have a total blast I know we will! :)

By the way, cider was GREAT at the Star & Garter pub in Manchester.

But you're still a "total thievin wee gypsy bastard" right? I'd be disappointed otherwise.

Of course BF! Iwouldn't have it any other way!

Seven Seas:
Jekyll and Hyde Club - dark, very dark - I like it! Might be a little too scary for our pre-show festivities though.
I like the Telephone Bar and Grill, but it looks like it's pretty far from the Hall.

We just had our opening night party for a new play and I was sent home with a mix of about 70 beers and 8 bottles of wine. I'm not leaving my house for at least a week or two.

I just had to tell someone and since you're all total thievin wee gypsy alcky bastards...well you understand.
