Personally, I like the old days, where you pointed to a seating chart and got your tix if they were available. None of this ticketmonster crapshoot.

Jack T -- where in the place would you ideally like to sit? It looks like if you're too close, you'll be craning up. But you could keep trying for closer tix and sell the rejects on ebay.

Withahip ... come. You know you want to meet Jack T. in person. Black Francis too

That's awesome on how you folks got floor level seating. I was logged on at 12:02 & the first seat it took me to was the 1stmz. I'm not complaining though b/c, look at this opportunity. :)

Have a total blast everyone w/ your plans....& good luck everyone else getting the tix you'd like.

The RAH show will give them a chance to work the kinks out. By the time they get to NY, I imagine they will have made a few tweaks. They will still close with Ocean Rain, but the first song will be Going Up, and somewhere in the middle of the set will be The Cutter. Oh, and there won't be an orchestra, and it will be at Irving Plaza.

Hmmm, so yeah I did some checking on Expedia and to book flights and a hotel (6 blocks from Rockefeller center) for one night stay for 2 this will set me back almost $1000. Driving is 10 hours if i don't fly but then I have a car to deal with. I guess I'll worry about the details later

i wouldn't recommend getting airline tickets just yet. it's too early to get a good price. i would say wait till at least june or so. also watch for airline sales... maybe you can get a better deal then. also, NYC is EXPENSIVE AS HELL for hotels.... it's actually cheaper getting a hotel in London! :surprised:

good luck!

I know I was just getting a rough idea. Hopefully some NYC folks can help out with some tips and pointers. I'm sure I can get cheaper flights, just need a cheap place to crash for one night.
