I was just a little confused, with your having to miss the recent gig due to weather. I thought you were on this side of the great divide. I bet the tour will see Toronto before it sees Paris.

Toronto in July would be nice.

I think people would turn out for a HUH/Crocs show in Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Barcelona, etc. They played Thessaloniki on the Siberia tour.

I checked out Bernard Lenoir after you mentioned him as I knew nothing about him. He also appears to get bands in to do Peel-like sessions as well. Good for him. Apart from spreading the word, at least it does give this type of music more exposure to French yoof. Perhaps he would be the ideal bloke for the management to approach if the Bunnies ever do play Paris again in the near future to promote themselves.

Joy Division at Les Bains Douches was one of them. He's done quite a few sessions with the Bunnymen (and Electrafixion) as well.

Is he the 'Black Sessions' fella? I've got the CDs of Mac and Electrafixion, though not the Bunnymen.

Yeah, I was watching a fairly recent Black Session of the Wild Beasts. Here we go, a snippet of "Le Echo et le Bunnymen" June 1997 Paris. Not the full session there just a bit of Lips, but back in the days when the setlists actually promoted a new album. Seems the whole session was reproduced on a limited edition CD. Previously detailed by Kounelaki here (don't know if Redgumball's links still work): http://forum.villiersterrace.com/viewto ... d0914bd11b

I'm at work and hence cannot watch the clip; however, it would be "L'Echo et les Bunnymen," n'est-ce pas?

I don't know. I don't want to start getting into that masculine and feminine french language stuff. That'll be like back at school without Madamoiselle Gobelle being there to teach me things that I didn't know as a little ghostie.

I think "Le Echo et le Bunnymen" looks cooler. In reality it is just "Echo & the Bunnymen" as that is the name of the band.
