But what's the answer to the bloody quiz? Just going to flick a coin, heads says no, tails says yes. Back in two seconds.

Heads, so no. What was the question again? Something about Phil Collins?

I used to love Quadrophenia. I changed overnight from being into heavy rock (AC/DC, Sabbath, UFO, Iron Maiden, etc) into a mod (The Who, The Jam, The Specials, The Beat, etc) cos it was cooler. This was before I got into alternative (the Teardrop Explodes, bunnymen, The Cure, Cocteau Twins, Chameleons). Lately I've found myself drifting back to heavy rock again, like it's some kind of cycle. Watch out for the next Mod revival in a year or two...

I got into an argument with my Mom on the phone about that one when I was 35. I was huge Zeppelin freak then but never saw anything by them live.
I was at a friends house and we saw that it was playing at the theater downtown. I called my Mom and her being familiar with the "sketchy" area she was adamant that I couldn't go. We got into a huge fight about it. I was furious and hung up. I called back and my Dad answered. Knowing they had no way to check, I lied and said we saw it was playing elsewhere else in the nice safe suburbs, he said OK and we went downtown anyway. That was the first time I saw a homeless person.

when you were 35? where did you grew up? the oc?

I tried to watch TSRTS again not long ago, I think I lasted about twenty minutes before I had to turn it off! Was it always so shit or have I just got old?

No it's not a very good performance at all and the individual films they made are corny. That thing was edited heavily too. Some of it was re-filmed on a sound stage later to get all the closeups. Apparently John Paul Jones is wearing a wig in the sound-stage shots because he had cut his hair short and Plant had gotten his teeth fixed which caused some continuity problems.

plus it was genesis...
