This thread reminds me of a time when I was at camp. The adults passed around a roll of toilet paper and told us to take as many squares as we wanted without any information about why we were doing so. Turned out we had to say something nice about ourselves for each square of paper. Mr. Brian has done the same with a virtual roll about the Bunnymen. I guess I better say something nice about the band so that my post is relevant.....um....."Bring on the Dancing Horses" reminds me of Jon Cryer as "Duckie" in "Pretty in Pink", whom I had a major crush on back then.

"With a Hip" is tied with "Gods Will Be Gods" as my favorite Bunnymen song evah. Depending on what mood I'm in, one will win out over the other, but nothing will win out over either.

Best band on the planet 1980-84. Tracks and artwork on the first four albums are perfect. The looked great and had and had an attitude like no other band. They had a genius manager who knew exactly how important they were and whose acts added to their weirdness and enhanced their legend.

A few random great moments from this time...

Hearing any one of their albums for the first time...

Pete playing at 'Drums Over The Mersey'...

Mac's voice...

Themes For Grind...

The pic I took of Les playing bass in the Philharmonic...

Live performance on 'The Tube' of 3 tracks from Ocean rain...

A Crystal Day...

Hearing any one of their albums ....again...

They also have arguably the greatest band name ever!

Meeting Will last year before the concert in D.C. was a great experience. He was generous with his time and very approachable.

Holy Grail was one of the best live songs I've ever heard (technically not a Bunnymen song).

Seeing the Bunnymen live on the Evergreen tour was the best show I've ever been to. Beyond amazing.
