Three or four I think where he features prominently, but I haven't heard the whole album yet.

I don't think many people on here do have a copy other than those that shelled out for a promo version. It's mostly from hearing tracks here, there and everywhere.

There are glorious moments on the Fountain in my opinion.

Forgotten fields
Drivetime (best by far, amazing voice/singing)
The fountain

Big shame to Proxy, sounds like some Slideling-rejected stuff.

NB. I have bought the cd, why would i stop, i have everything from the start.

That last minute and a half of Forgotten Fields is indeed glorious. Mac's voice just soars on that one and the music is spectacular. This really should be great live.

Drivetime is a well crafted pop song and if a better known and more current band had put this out it would be getting lots of radio play.

The Fountain (album and song) has some of Mac's best lyrics in years.

I think these songs sound much better than if you have only heard them as low quality clips on pc speakers and made a judgment on that because there is a lot going on in these songs if you listen on a proper stereo and judge them for what they are rather than Crocodiles or HUH or Porcupine or Ocean Rain Part II.

As an album of songs its really good. I've listened to this one already more times than Siberia or Flowers when they came out.

I caved and found a download, but I'll be buying the album when it's released stateside.

My initial impression was that if this was an unknown band the critics would be slobbering all over themselves proclaiming their wonderfulness. But since it's the Bunnymen with their legacy/history, they get crapped on instead. It's too bad. I like how they vary it up and don't produce the same sound with every album.

Even though what I've heard isn't quite my cup of tea I do give them credit for trying something different. If I'm honest I'd rather see them try something new and fall on their faces than produce Heaven Up Here Mark II, III, etc.
